COMMUNITY PROJECTS

In all our activities, in the food we eat and how we build Mayoka Village, we make an effort to support the local community at the grass roots level.

Our beautiful chalets and all the wood detail, craft and art are created using local artisans. Our delicious food made in our kitchens is all sourced from local farmers. We also give financial support to local schools and projects.

encouraging sustainability and environmental protection

We are constantly trying to be more eco friendly at Mayoka by switching to solar water heaters and solar lighting in the rooms. We recycle all our plastic waste with the help of a local project called Clean and Proud who make bags and wallets from the recycled plastic. The same team also collect all our cigarette butts to recycle.

We turn all our kitchen waste into compost and have the compost toilets too.
